Their sixth goal arrived in the 41st minute, leaving us 6-0 behind at the interval.The first half underlined the gap in experience between the teams. Newton Aycliffe were the stronger side and established a significant advantage before the break. For our players, it was a demanding introduction to the pace and level of a higher-division opponent.Jenson Bates was replaced by Joseph Cant in the 40th minute, shortly before the home side scored their sixth goal.
