ABOUT
SPENNYMOOR
TOWN YOUTH FC
A volunteer-led Community Interest Company providing football for over 350 players across more than 30 teams — from Mini Moors right through to our Under 23s.
BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION
Spennymoor Town Youth FC is an England Football 2-Star Accredited Club at the heart of our local community. Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where players of all ages and abilities can thrive. More than just a club, we're a family.
Spennymoor Town Youth has been restructured into a Community Interest Company that works hand in hand with Spennymoor Town FC but has full autonomy over all youth affairs, led by the volunteer coaches and parents who are closest to it day to day.
This change followed an 18-month handover period, recognising that football has become increasingly difficult to manage around the demands of admin and background work.

A Working Committee
A working committee of nine volunteers, drawn from a wide range of professional backgrounds, now supports the detailed running of the club — aiming to give an even better offering to every child involved.
PRIDE, PASSION
& BELIEF
Grassroots football is about giving children the right category for their ability and the chance to work right through the football system — whatever level they're at. Our focus is guided by a commitment to providing a safe, enjoyable and well-structured environment in which young people can develop both as footballers and as individuals.
At a time when grassroots football continues to face challenges around touchline behaviour and respect, we're particularly proud that our club has completed seasons without significant disciplinary or behavioural issues — a reflection of the culture we're building together, with pride, passion and belief at its heart.
Our Committee
Behind the club sits a working committee of volunteers, each bringing different skills and experience from their own walks of life to support the running of Spennymoor Town Youth FC CIC. From safeguarding and finance to communications and player development, the committee works to ensure every aspect of the club is run properly, transparently and with the best interests of our players at heart.
PROUD PARTNERS OF
SPENNYMOOR TOWN FC
Spennymoor Town Youth FC works closely alongside Spennymoor Town FC, with strong links across a number of community programmes — including our Mini Moors sessions, Wild Cats girls' football, and Friday Night Football.
Our relaxed, no-commitment session is open to ages 5 to 16 where kids can come along, make friends, and enjoy the game. Together with other initiatives run in partnership with the wider Spennymoor Town FC community programme, we're giving local children and families more ways to get involved with football in the area.
Keeping our players safe is everyone's responsibility
